Internet Money – Still Available?

Some of us say the web is dead.  So is there still cash to be made on the Web?  The answer’s a definite YES. 

Research shows, time and again, that consumers want to spend more online, and that the Internet is quickly turning into an essential component of their lifestyle and it will remain so.  Internet consumers are cautious and they desire Sites that are convincing and worth shopping before they part with their money. 
The regular mainstream rules of business still apply to web business.  It’s cautious to recollect that the net isn’t your business goal ; it’s a vehicle in helping you achieve your business aims. 

Develop a viable business plan. The biggest reason why so many dotcoms failed is an insufficient business plan of how and when they will achieve profits.  To have a successful and sustainable web business, developing a reasonable business plan from the outset is vital.  Your scheme must have a clear vision that has meaning to you and your business.  Your most important focus should be to’plan to profit within a set period of time’ and this will require you to permit time for thoughtful researching, planning, execution and testing.  You’ll need to test out your business design first and ensure that it’s realistic and sustainable.  Don’t make the same mistakes that many sites made — making an attempt to build a global brand before their business structure even worked as it will lead you into insolvency faster.  Regardless of how whimsical and good your internet site is, if your aim is not to make profit, you will go into Chapter 11. 

Model someone successful. It’s always sensible to profit from the botches of folks rather than to gain from your own mistakes as this can often be extraordinarily costly and distressing.  Track and learn from baselined success stories, be they your competitors or otherwise.  Why would you would like to spend a little time re-inventing the wheel when you can learn from people who have already been there and done it successfully.  Discover how they design their website, create products, write salescopy, their sales process, for example.I want to suggest The Millionaire Money System.

Concentrate on a targeted market . Don’t be everything to everybody by attempting to reign supreme over a massive and general market as you just simply cannot do it efficiently.  Focus your web business on a targetable portion of the market or a narrowly defined group of potential clients.  Address the necessity for a service or product that is not being addressed by main line providers.  An advantage of this is that it’s less competitive in such a market as big companies will not need to be in it.  For this to be effective, the market niche that you’re targeting must be fast moving, its customers accessible and there mustn’t already be a major competitor in that particular market niche.  The most important thing here is to find a niche market, evaluate the needs of the market and then offer them your products and/or services that meet their wants. 

Differentiate your business. To capture a larger market share and be doable, sustainable and moneymaking, you’ll need to differentiate or distinguish your business from the competition ; make your business unique in the eyes of your customers and/or prospects.  This can be achieved by creating what’s called an Unique Selling Propostion or USP and then effectively convey that USP to your market thru your advertising efforts and business performance. This is particularly critical if you’re operating in a highly tough market.  A USP is the most important thing or idea that sets your business favourably aside from the competition.There are some questions to be answeredWhat makes my product/service unique?  Why should folks buy from you and not from your competitors?  Do you guarantee great value, benefit or service?’ Your USP is the focus around which the success and profitability of your business is built and so you have to be able to state it and meet it honourably and efficiently. 

Spend your money cleverly. Cost is one of the biggest determinants of your Internet business’ survivability.  You’ll need to punctiliously track and control your costs from the outset and make sure you can start to show a profit soon, as unmindful spending with no thought given to inward-bound resources will bleed you to death.  Convincing websites not only require money to line up but also to maintain ; ads cost money.  Driving visitors to your website where you lose money on sales made is suicidal.  Do your sums ; constantly refer back to your vision to determine whether an expense is assured or pointed.
